A letter from Dr. Fisher about retirement
Dear valued patients,
It is with mixed emotions that, as many of you know, I have decided to take leave from private practice dentistry. I have attempted in vain for about 10+ years to find a dentist to succeed me in my office building. I have decided to sell and transfer my practice and patient care to Total Health Dentistry a few blocks away. I am pleased to announce Dr. Jeffery Hartman and Shilo VanHart as the new owners of the practice. Their team is excited to provide your continued dental care in their building at 524 Washington Street, Huntingdon or 616 4th Street, Altoona.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your trust and confidence in permitting me to take care of your dental needs through the years. I have taken great effort to find someone to provide my patients with the best possible care and high quality service that I have always tried to give you. I believe Dr. Hartman & his experienced associate dentist, Dr. Haley Holt, possess the highest qualifications and they are extremely well skilled in all phases of dentistry. Dr. Hartman earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry, with course work in nutrition from the University of Pittsburgh and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh Dental School in 1980. He served several years with the US Public Health Service at the Southern Huntingdon County Medical Center and then converted the Dental Center to private practice. In 1992 he moved his practice to Huntingdon where it is operating currently. Dr. Hartman partnered his practice with daughter, Shilo VanHart in 2015. Shilo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management and has worked in many different areas of the practice over the years. Together, they had a vision to be able to expand and offer high quality, individualized care in general dentistry services as well as orthodontics, laser dentistry and holistic/biological services of their Huntingdon practice to serve clients in the surrounding areas. This led them to the purchase of a practice in Altoona and also a partnership in State College with Dr. Sabatini, an expert in implants. Dr. Hartman enjoys spending time with his wife, four children and all of the grandchildren as well as being a ministry leader in the church. Shilo enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. They both reside on farms in Huntingdon where they enjoy riding and competing horses. Dr. Holt is from the Altoona area & joined their practice after over 12 years of practicing dentistry in pediatrics, public health, and private practice. She holds her DMD from The University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. She also holds dual degrees in Chemistry and Fine Arts from Saint Francis University.
I feel confident that Dr. Hartman, Dr. Holt, Shilo and the Total Health Dentistry team will continue to provide you and your family with the best full service dental care possible. I trust that you will show Total Health Dentistry the same loyalty and friendship that you have shown me. They are looking forward to meeting and serving you for all of your dental health care needs. All dental records will be transferred to Total Health Dentistry, with offices in Huntingdon, Altoona and State College. Please call their offices at 643-9414 or 944-1300 if you would like more information, have questions and to schedule appointments, they will be happy to help you. We will be working together to transfer your appointments into their schedules as much as possible. Thank you again for your loyalty and confidence.
